Frequently Asked Questions
What does it mean to run an event under the MidWest TechFest banner?
Your event will be included in the official festival programme, promoted under the
shared MidWest TechFest branding, and featured in all festival-wide communications.
Your event remains independently run and fully under your control — we provide
visibility, not logistics.
Are there requirements on the type of event I can host?
Events should connect to technology, innovation, or digitalisation in some way.
Beyond that, the format is flexible: conferences, workshops, networking meetups,
product launches, panels, hackathons, demos, or anything in between.
Do I have to be based in Limerick?
No. While many events will happen in Limerick city this year, we actively welcome
events from across Limerick county, Galway, Ennis, Cork, Kerry, Tipperary and
beyond. The festival represents the Midwest region as a whole.
Is there a cost to participate?
Partnership packages vary depending on the level of support required. We offer
tailored solutions for different organisational needs.
Can my event be invite-only?
Yes. Events may be public, private, or invite-only. We will promote according to the
access level you specify.
What support will MidWest TechFest provide?
We will feature your event on the festival website and programme, promote it
through our marketing and digital channels, and provide branding guidelines and logo assets. We do not provide venues, speakers, or logistical support (unless you’re part of our Growth Partnership tier).
Will MidWest TechFest help with ticketing or logistics?
Event hosts are responsible for their own logistics, ticketing,
and delivery. However, Growth Partnership tier participants
have access to expert support networks and supplier
recommendations.
Are there size requirements?
No. Events can be large-scale or small, from 500-person
summits to 20-person workshops.
Can events be online or hybrid?
Yes. We welcome in-person, hybrid, and online events.
Can I align an existing event with MidWest TechFest?
Yes. If you already have an event scheduled during the festival
period, you can apply to bring it under the MidWest TechFest
banner.
Will MidWest TechFest be an annual festival?
Yes. Our goal is to build a sustainable annual festival that grows
year after year. Participating in the first year helps shape the
foundation for future editions.
